A co-production of the Minotauros Kompanie with the Theaterakademie der HfMT

What is reality in this hall of mirrors?

With its absurd humor, Pilk's Madhouse by Ken Campbell (1973) serves as a template for an evening in which logic and seriousness are suspended. What remains is a look behind the façade of norms and stereotypes. By expanding our viewing habits, attributions disappear and new encounters become possible.

The ensemble of the Elbe-Werkstätten, the inclusive theater group MINOTAUROS KOMPANIE, gets lost in 16 absurd mini-dramas through boredom, fear and the daily conflict with a neurotypical reality. Between waiters, cowboys and cracks in reality, themes ranging from departure to suicide swirl around.

The directing team consists of the company's artistic director, Moritz Schilk, as well as Till Dogan Ertener and Juno Peter, both postgraduates of the drama directing course. During the rehearsals, new experiences in "collective inclusive production work" were gained together with the Minotaurs. As a result, this production not only shifts conventions of theater work, but also opens up spaces between social constructs and thus creates encounters at eye level - beyond attributions.
