About Ting-Shuo Chang
Violinist Ting-Shuo Chang, originally from Taiwan, is currently completing his concert exam at the Hamburg University of Music and Drama with Prof. Andreas Röhn. He previously completed his master's degree there with the highest grade.

In recent years, he has been accepted as concertmaster and member of several festival orchestras, including the Gstaad Festival Orchestra, the Verbier Festival Orchestra (Switzerland), the Seiji Ozawa Academy Orchestra (Japan) and the Grafenegg Academy Orchestra (Austria).

In 2018, he joined the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie and in the same year became an academy member of the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra. There he received lessons from Martin Wulfhorst and Paweł Kisza. He was also supported by the LEAD! Foundation (Finland), Live Music Now Hamburg and the Oscar and Vera Ritter Foundation (Germany).

Since 2019, Ting-Shuo has been passionately involved in the performance of contemporary music and was initially accepted into the Lucerne Festival Academy as a violinist. He was later appointed to the Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra, where he has been a member and concertmaster since 2021. He regularly performs with this ensemble at renowned festivals, including the Elbphilharmonie Visions, Donaueschinger Musiktage, Lucerne Forward Festival and the Mizmorim Chamber Music Festival.

Since 2022 he has been concertmaster of the Weiwuying Contemporary Ensemble and also artistic director of his own ensemble "Misterioso Arts" in Taiwan. From the 2024/25 season, Ting-Shuo will be 2nd concertmaster of the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra.
