Sing, ye muses, of the wrath of Cassandra! Cassandra, the seer, swears revenge, even if she herself could be dragged down with her. Helene, the beautiful one, can no longer bear to be controlled by others. Hecabe, the mother, preaches moderation. Andromache, the wife, prepares for battle; Hector, the war hero, is afraid. And Philema, Aphrodite's number one fan and hardcore gossip queen, sticks her nose in everywhere.

The focus of this retelling of the ancient myth of the Trojan War is the character of Cassandra, Princess of Troy. The warnings of impending doom that she is able to issue to the Trojan people thanks to her ability to prophesy go unheeded. While the myth attributes this to a curse from Apollo, who does not accept her rejection of his sexual advances, here Cassandra is given a self-determined role. Instead, in anger, she herself curses her fellow human beings never to believe her warnings and therefore not to be able to escape ruin. But who is to blame for Troy's downfall? What sacrifices does Aphrodite's principle of lust demand? And how far will Cassandra go for revenge?
