1. set
Is there a better world? What does it look like? Why can't anyone hear me? Why can't anyone see me? Why do we ignore current warnings and dangers? - The ensemble poses these questions in Fernanda von Sachsen's suite "Outside Land". The piece was premiered with strings from the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra in January 2025. <p>Fernanda von Sachsen is a young Munich jazz singer and composer. Having grown up surrounded by music as the daughter of an opera singer, she began playing the piano and singing in a choir at the age of five. Her singing style is influenced by the traditions of vocal jazz as well as her classical training. She has already performed in several European countries, as well as in Brazil and South Korea. She has already received several awards for her compositions (e.g. Would you say the same if I were a man?). In 2025 Fernanda was awarded the Bavarian Art Promotion Prize and won the Kurt Maas Jazz Award.
