This module covers the deep-rooted traditions of flamenco as well as the diverse
rhythmic and harmonic worlds of Latin American music. It offers guitarists a fundamental expansion of their stylistic and sonic horizons and
sharpens their understanding of and approach to Spanish and
Latin American guitar repertoire and technique.
Learning Objectives:
• To apply the advanced playing techniques of flamenco and Latin American music technically, precisely,
and artistically.
• To theoretically comprehend complex rhythmic structures (such as compás, polyrhythms, and syncopation) and to implement them confidently in ensemble or solo performance.
• To constructively integrate cross-genre elements into one’s own artistic practice, in compositions or in future pedagogical work.

Content and Technical Elements:
- Form theory
- Repertoire & stylistics: Analysis of the most significant musical forms, the specific palos
of flamenco, as well as folkloric dances and songs from Spain and Latin America;
