Here begins 96 hours of art, discourse, and diversity!
Four days of fluctoplasma kick off at the HfMT: featuring art and music, conversations and encounters, and exploring the question of how we want to live together in an increasingly polarized world.
6:00 p.m. | Opening and Panel
Together, we’ll kick off four days of fluctoplasma and 96 hours of art, discourse, and diversity. Featuring the fluctoplasma team, the Hamburg Department of Culture and Media, and a welcome address from the Hamburg University of Music and Drama.
“Alone, we’re done for; together, we’ll get it done.”
Panel
The post-migrant upheavals of recent decades have transformed the German cultural landscape, created new spaces, and fought for representation. But what comes after self-assertion? At a time when plurality and social belonging are once again under pressure, the panel explores the transition from representation to solidarity and alliance. How can different experiences of racism, antisemitism, migration, and exclusion be considered together without equating them or pitting them against one another? And what responsibilities arise from the fact that our freedoms depend on one another, even though our vulnerabilities are unevenly distributed?
The panel featuring Max Czollek and others is taking place in cooperation with two programs of DialoguePerspectives e. V.: the Coalition for Pluralistic Public Discourse (CPPD) and Dagesh – Jewish Art in Context.
Starting at 8:30 p.m. | Champagne & börek in the foyer
Raise a glass, meet new people, and exchange ideas.
9:00 p.m. | MADANII
Concert
MADANII blends avant-pop, alternative R&B, and trap with an artistic vision deeply rooted in Persian culture and in her history as the daughter of political refugees. Her music tells of being different and not belonging, of life caught between cultural labels, intergenerational dreams, political absurdities, and queer love. Rhythms, languages, and political experiences come together to form a unique musical and visual mosaic.
Followed by | fluctoplasma Opening Party
Featuring Sebastian Reier (aka Booty Carrell) and Bella Mutaaga (aka DJ Bushfya)
After the panel and concert, we’ll celebrate the start of four days of fluctoplasma together.
