For the 2027/28 winter semester, the application period begins on February 15, 2027, and ends on April 1, 2027.
To successfully apply for the Recorder Instrumental Music program, the following steps must be completed within the application period:
- Submission of the online application, including the upload of supporting documents
- Receipt of the application fee (payment information is provided at the end of the completed online application)
Your application will only be considered if all the steps described above are fully completed within the application period and both the online application and the application fee have been received.
The transverse flute program is temporarily not offered at the HfMT HH.

Entrance examination requirements
The following works must be prepared as repertoire for the entrance examination:
Recorder
- 3 works of different styles
- sight-reading
The works do not have to be performed from memory.
Information on the minor subject examinations
Minor subject piano or harpsichord
It is possible and desirable for the minor subject examination to be conducted in the minor subject harpsichord instead of piano. Please contact your specialist office, see "Contact" below. The entrance examination consists of 2 simple works of different styles.
Minor subject general music theory/aural training
To help you prepare for the examinations in the minor subjects of general music theory and aural training, we offer you some sample examinations.
Master
Entrance examination requirements
The following works must be prepared as repertoire for the entrance examination:
Recorder
- One work of your choice
- One work composed before 1700
- One work composed after 1900
- A fantasy by G. P. Telemann
The works do not have to be performed by heart.
Concert exam
The following works must be prepared as repertoire for the entrance examination:
Recorder
- Recital program (duration: 60 minutes)
- Recital program contains a complete solo concerto
- Inclusion of clearly modern musical language
The works do not have to be performed by heart.
Harpsichord accompaniment will be provided by the university. Please bring readable material for the accompaniment. You are permitted to bring your own chamber music or duo partners if you wish.
